কার্টুন মানেই মজার ছলে শিল্পকলা

দেড়শোর গোড়ায় কার্টুন যখন

কার্টুনদল ও হাজির তখন

দেখতে চাও যদি কার্টুন এর সমারোহ

হাজির হও কার্টুন মেলায় অহরহ । "

হ্যাঁ রেবতীভূষণ ঘোষ এঁর ১০০ বছর উপলক্ষে ৫ই ডিসেম্বর ২০২১ থেকে ৫ই জানুয়ারী ২০২২ অবধি আয়োজিত হওয়ার কথা ছিল কার্টুন মেলা ।

সে এক দারুন আয়োজন। সর্দার শঙ্কর রোডের ৪২ নং বাড়ি ,সেখানে রিড বেঙ্গলি বুক স্টোরেই আয়োজন হয়েছিল এই মেলার। এবার খুব ছোট্ট করে রেবতীভূষণ ঘোষ এর বিষয়টি বলে নি । হুগলী জেলার বালী তে তাঁর জন্ম। একাধারে তিনি ছিলেন চিত্রকর ,ইলাস্ট্রেটর ,ক্যালিগ্রাফি

আর্টিস্ট ইত্যাদি ইত্যাদি। তবে তাঁর আঁকা কার্টুন এর ডালি মানুষের মনে অন্য জায়গা করে নিয়েছিল। কার্টুনিস্ট হিসাবেই তাঁর কর্মজীবনের শুরু। জীবনের এক বিশাল অধ্যায় তাঁর কেটেছে দিল্লী এর বিভিন্ন বিশিষ্ট প্রকাশনার কার্টুনিস্ট হিসাবে। অবশ্য পরবর্তীকালে বাংলায় তাঁর বাড়িতে ফিরে আসেন এবং সেখান থেকেই শিল্প সৃষ্টি করে গেছেন। তাঁর শততম জন্ম বার্ষিকী উপলক্ষেই কার্টুন দলের নিবেদন এই কার্টুন মেলা ।

তবেএ যে শুধু মেলা নয়

মেলারনামে জোট বেঁধে হাজার ও শিল্পকলা

ছিল প্রদর্শনী

সাথে অনেকটা বিকিকিনি

মেলার একটা সেকশান জুড়ে ছিল রেবতীভূষণ স্যার এর হাতে আঁকা কার্টুন এর অরিজিনাল কালেকশন সঙ্গে তাঁর নিজ ব্যবহৃত মার্কার পেন টিও বটে ।

আবার চোখ ঘোরালেই আরেক জায়গায় প্রদর্শিত হচ্ছে সংবাদ প্রতিদিনের বিখ্যাত কার্টুনিস্ট আমল চক্রবর্তীর অরিজিনাল কার্টুন এর কপি গুলি। কোথাও আবার উদয় দেবের কাঠের কমিক পুতুলের কালেকশন তো কোথাও দেবাশীষ দেব এর বিশাল কার্টুনের সমষ্টি।

মেলায় সাধারণ মানুষের নিত্যপ্রয়োজনীয় জিনিসগুলোর সাথে কার্টুন কেমন যেন মিলেমিশে এক হয়ে গিয়েছিলো। কখনো পেপারওয়েট তো কখনো রিফ্রেজারেটর ম্যাগনেট এর আদলে সেখানে শুধু কার্টুন এর ই উঁকিঝুঁকি। হ্যাঙ্গারে ঝুলছে কার্টুন প্রিন্টেড টিশার্ট ,বইয়ের তাকে সারি সারি কার্টুন বিষয়ক বই, সে এক মন ভালো করা জায়গা।

স্বাদ বদলাতে কখনো বিখ্যাত কার্টুনিস্ট উদয় দেব শিখিয়েছেন কার্টুন দেখার পদ্ধতি তো কখনো দেবাশীষ দেব,অভিজিৎ চ্যাটার্জী,সুমিত সেনগুপ্তের মতো বিখ্যাত মানুষদের উপস্থিতিতে বসেছে কমিক্স এর আড্ডা।সব মিলিয়ে একেবারে স্বাদে আহ্লাদে ভরপুর ।

শুধু তাই নয় কার্টুন দলের উদ্যোগে এবং ছোটামোটা ফাউন্ডেশন এর সহযোগিতায় আয়োজন ছিল কর্মশালার ও। সাথে সাথেই এখানে প্রকাশিত হল কার্টুন ইতিহাসধারী কার্টুন দল সম্পাদিত " আমল এর অ্যালবাম " এরও। গানে আড্ডায় লাইভ কার্টুন আঁকার আয়োজনে মেলা তো পুরো জমজমাট ।

আরেকটা কথা তো বলতে ভুলেই গিয়েছিলাম ,ছিল আরো একটা আকর্ষণ। তা হলো ,

" এক ব্যাগ কার্টুন "

বিষয় টি বোধহয় বোধগম্য হলো না। এটি আসলে একটি ব্যাগ,মানে কার্টুন মেলার একটি কম্বো অফার যার মধ্যে দেওয়া ছিল বিখ্যাত

কার্টুনিস্ট দেবাশীষ স্যার এর আঁকা একটি পোস্টার ,রেবতী ভূষণ স্যার এর প্রতি শ্রদ্ধার্ঘের প্রতীকী তাঁর কাজের সমারোহের একটি ডেট ক্যালেন্ডার ও একটি পোস্টাল স্ট্যাম্প। সবমিলিয়ে

সত্যিই এক ব্যাগ কার্টুন।

তবে মন খারাপ হয়ে গেলো করোনা আবহে ৫ ই জানুয়ারী এর পরিবর্তে যখন ২ রা জানুয়ারী তেই কার্টুন মেলা ইতি টানল তখন। তবে মনে আশা দিয়ে গেলো সামনের বছর আবার ফিরে

আসার।

আর আর্ট আর্টিস্ট আড্ডার তরফ থেকে আমি সোয়েলা একজন শিল্পপ্রেমী হিসাবে এই আয়োজন স্বচক্ষে দেখে এবং উদয় দা র সান্নিধ্য পেয়ে আজ অভিভুত।

From December 5th,2021 to 5th January,2022 Cartoon Fair was organized on the occasion of 100th anniversary of Great Cartoonist Rebati Bhusan Ghosh.

The Fair was organized at 42,Sardar Sankar Road,Kolkata,Read Bengali Book Store.

At first I am going to give a glimpse of Rebati Bhusan Ghosh in a very short way.He was a Painter,Illustrator, Calligraphy artist

etc. His cartoon characters made a special place in people's heart. He started his career as a cartoonist . He spent a huge part of his life as a cartoonist in various eminent publications of Delhi.However,in his later life he returned to his home in bally,West Bengal and created numerous art staying here. The Cartoon Fair was dedicated to this 'Cartoon Idol' on the occasion of his 100th birth aniversary.

In a major section of the fair, Rebati Bhushan's own used marker pen, along with the original collection of cartoons drawn by him were displayed.Copies of the original cartoon of the famous cartoonist Amal Chakraborty from 'Sangbad Pratidin' were also displayed in another section of the fair. Our present generation famous cartoonist Uday Dev's collection of wooden comic dolls and Debashish Dev's huge cartoon collection were also there and gave a touch of homage to their ancestor artist.

At the fair, the cartoons Were seemed to merge with the daily necessities of the common man. Sometimes it is in a form of paperweight, sometimes in the form of a refrigerator magnet. There was a profound presence of cartoons. Cartoon printed T-shirt were hanging from the hanger,, Many cartoon books were arranged in book racks.The atmosphere is full of essence of cartoons.

The famous cartoonist Uday Dev has taught us how to watch cartoons to change the taste of our daily monotonous life. A comics related chat was organized in the presence of famous artists like Debashish Dev, Abhijit Chatterjee, Sumit Sengupta.

Not only the workshop was organized by the cartoon team but also with the collaboration of the Chhotamota Foundation. Organizers released here "Amal's Album" edited by Cartoon Team.

Another thing I forgot to mention, there was an another attraction waiting for us. That was,"One bag cartoon". Probably the subject is not understood for our readers. It was actually a bag, a combo offer from the Cartoon Fair which included a poster drawn by the famous cartoonist Debashish Sir, a date calendar and a postage stamp of his work symbolizing the homage to Revati Bhushan Sir.

However,we were upset when the cartoon fair ended in prior, on 2nd January instead of 5th January due to increasing cases of COVID. But I was hoping to come back here again in next year. On behalf of Art Artist Adda, I, Soela, as an art lover, witnessed the event and was overwhelmed by the proximity of Uday Da.
